I messed up on a linocut the other day and wondered if I could use my wood putty. Turns out the answer is yes.
I haven't printed it yet, but I can tell it's going to be fine. The plan is to proof this on Tuesday and find out for sure.
How did I transfer my text to my linocut? Easy peasy. I printed out the text on my home laser printer and rubbed it with a bone folder when face down. No need to reverse the text.
And that my friend is one way to transfer text easily. Not bad, huh?

That is so exacting carving!
ReplyDeleteI know. There are times I wish I could be a little looser but it's just not in my genetic make-up. I love me some Sean Starwars and the way he carves his plates in a near frenzy (check out his posts on YouTube).
