Tea

Hmm. What was it I was doing instead of finishing my one-piece-a-week? Oh, right. Watching Downton Abby on our projected screen and sipping tea with two friends. I'm not suggesting putting off one's self-imposed deadlines is a good strategy, but sometimes it's not a bad thing to postpone and indulge yourself. Today is fairly busy with graphic design miscellaneous, so I won't even be able to finish my piece today.... maybe tonight. So it'll be up soon. And of course I'll be back on track for #4 which is due Sunday.

One personal new year's resolution I've managed to maintain: have tea every afternoon. (One of theses days I need to go to England for a proper cup.) The teapot was a gift from Keith and the set of tea vessels (honey, sugar, milk) is from an Asheville artist named Angelique Tassistro. I have a couple of her pieces and I LOVE them.

The cup is rather ordinary until you realize it was a wedding party favor. I love it! Be thinking of me at 4 p.m, kicking back and sipping my tea.

I'm all for sipping tea and watching Downton Abbey! I found out they have additional episodes on itunes, and it is taking a lot of restraint not to download them right now. Must make progress on work...

Hhhhmmm Tea ! When you do make it to England, make sure you have Tea and Scones in Bath, Somerset.

Amy--oh no! That is tempting. If ever on a Sunday you want to come over, please do! Watching the show was much more fun with friends.
Alison--Yes indeed on the tea and scones! One of these days I'm just going to have to pack up and go--with a g'friend. Husband not much into traveling unless we're in a tent. My bro was doing postdoc work at Oxford for years and I never made it over. I kick myself!

Keith just shared the link with us. And we are so happy to see that the tea cups being used as intended! We spent several weeks emailing back and forth with the company who made the cups what design we wanted on them. And in the end we chose a simple "signature" because anything more may have made the cups decoration rather than functional as many wedding favor end up on a dusty shelf or in the trash.

@Marie and Yuan--I love the cups! I am making myself a pot of tea every day around this time (water is boiling as I type this...) and every day I use one of your cups. I love their simplicity, and because they represent your love/marriage, they are made even more special. Such an original wedding favor!
