Whoa. This is cool! I found this on youtube today, link here. This DIY gal uses embroidery hoops as a screenprinting frame, organza-like material as the screen, and Mod Podge as the screen filler, making it uber cheap to make a screen for a kid's party or family reunion (hint hint Mom) or whatever. She has a whole bunch of videos, which are not numbered so you'll do some clicking around and get a bit annoyed I like did, but she goes through it all step-by-step.
I am hot for screen printing today because yesterday I screened some used shirts for local Gullett Elementary's Green Team (used shirts were the green element) and I still have ink under my nails, so I think screenprinting every time I look at my hands. The Green Team will hopefully wear these shirts to school in the coming weeks to advertise Gullett's Art Show. I'll be screenprinting at the event on t-shirts that kids bring in with their $2 donation. The event is May 6 from 5:00-7:30 PM and it's open to all. So Austinites, bring a shirt and 2 bucks and get one printed.
I'll even do the shirt on your back.

Oh, your shirt needs to be pre-washed! Otherwise the screen might not work well with the sizing left on it from the factory.
