Moving the Old Body

Cathy Savage
That Can't Be Right, linoleum and stratograph chine colle
I decided after months of neglect and an especially food-heavy weekend, I was going to exercise this morning. As the kids and I walked around the track at the nearby middle school, we were rewarded with a flock of monk parakeets--maybe 30? So fun! Anyway, this mental clarity about the necessity of keeping my body in shape, reminds me of this print. This print is probably 7 years old and I'd like to report that I'm at the same weight, but alas, I am not.

I'm starting a new print on Kepler and Brahe. Today I hope to make a dent in the research. I'm thinking they'll be on the same print like a face playing card--opposite each other. I also have a commission piece that's cooking with the hopes of a thumbnail by the end of the day. It was great walking around the track thinking of these new pieces--I think the movement helped!
