More than just a Book on a Bench

Sample BookCrossing label
I found a book yesterday. It was left on a bench in the Chicago airport and after asking everyone in the vicinity if they left it on accident, I decided to take it with me on my flight to Madison, WI. Later on I remembered the global book trade BookCrossing (though I can't for the life of me remember where I heard of it. NPR?). The idea is you affix an identifying label on the left behind book and the finder is to log it as found, then pass it on for the next person after reading. Once you register a book you can see all the great adventures its having traveling to who knows where. Isn't that fun? Leaving the book in an airport was brilliant, but the previous owner had not heard of BookCrossing, so it's up to me to start this book on its path to becoming more than just a book on a bench.

what book was it!? and what a great idea. I've also heard of this but have never started a book on it's way.

Not quite my genre of book, but I'm reading it and liking it. It's titled "A Death in Belmont" and it's about a man who is quickly (and wrongly) convicted of murder in the 1960s. It's non-fiction and it's a real eyeopener to racism during that time. I would have rather found one of those sewing pattern books, but I'll take what I can get. :)
