I like bread and butter, I like toast and jam

I finally posted 6 new grackles on Etsy. I plan on taking them around on various summer outings, hoping they get picked up in a gallery by fall. I'm excited about my new approach to create these "bread and butter" items that sell for less than my other work, but are more accessible to a broader audience--both in terms of price and subject. One reader suggested a 40/60 rule--maintaining the bread and butter at 40% of my art time and my other work at 60%--keeping me sane and happy.
