A Box of Stars

I'm still in Io mode, thankfully, and I'm plugging along on my new piece. It's a 22x30" sheet of gessoed paper that has a big moon in the center. Here's an detail shot of the surface. I'm in the mood to add some constellations in the space around the moon just for fun, and I love the old images from Urania's Mirror c. 1825.





I bought a modern day set of the cards. They are soooo cool!
