Fixing a Linocut

I messed up on a linocut the other day and wondered if I could use my wood putty. Turns out the answer is yes.

Before

After

Putty

I haven't printed it yet, but I can tell it's going to be fine. The plan is to proof this on Tuesday and find out for sure.

How did I transfer my text to my linocut? Easy peasy. I printed out the text on my home laser printer and rubbed it with a bone folder when face down. No need to reverse the text.

And that my friend is one way to transfer text easily. Not bad, huh?

That is so exacting carving!

I know. There are times I wish I could be a little looser but it's just not in my genetic make-up. I love me some Sean Starwars and the way he carves his plates in a near frenzy (check out his posts on YouTube).
