Who knows why I'm fond of grackles. They are dirty and disgusting, and can wreak havoc if you happen to park under an afternoon gathering spot, but boy they are beautiful! I love how conniving and brazen they are too. Anyway, I had a crazy weekend--with two gelatin printmaking workshops no less--but I managed to put in a couple of hours last night on this grackle. Still a work in progress, but I'm liking the direction he's heading. I was hoping to finish it this weekend but that was clearly a pipe dream. (I have a graphic design gig I need to work on tomorrow, so unfortunately I won't be able to get another crack at this until late afternoon Monday.)
