Recent Linoleum Workshop

Carolyn Kimball and I recently taught a linoleum relief workshop and here are some pics. It was great fun. We learned that the Wood and Lino Cutting Tool Set of 6, product 53330 from Jerrysartarama.com are terrible--not pictured. We're on the hunt for better but affordable tools for our workshop in the summer. What's pictured are the best tools I've ever used. They're from McClains. If you'd like to inquire about upcoming workshops, just shoot me an email.

Hey Cathy, what kind of a press is that you are using in the background.

I am trying to find something rather smallish.......

Thanks for the link to that wonderful online retailer for all things printmaking! All those barens!

The press is a Magnetic Signpress by Dick Blick. My guess is it's a 1950s model. You can find them on ebay. It weighs about 45 lbs, but works super well on mounted blocks. The table top used to be super rusted, but a brillo pad and some elbow grease cleaned it right up!

Oh I thought it looked quite vintage! Thanks!
